Stock Assistant

Role overview

Stock responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and check stock against delivery notes and purchase records.
• Inspect incoming products for accuracy, condition, and damage; report discrepancies promptly.
• Label, scan, and record stock accurately using relevant systems and procedures.
• Safely store products in designated locations and maintain accurate stock records.
• Pick, pack, and prepare stock for transfers, customer orders, and operational needs.
• Support replenishment and movement between storage and retail areas.
• Assist with stock counts, inventory checks, and discrepancy investigations.
• Follow stock rotation, product handling, and secure storage procedures.
• Keep stockrooms and work areas clean, tidy, and organized.
• Handle luxury, delicate, or high-value products carefully.
• Coordinate stock movements with colleagues and report shortages, system issues, damage, or safety concerns.
• Follow company processes, health and safety guidance, and security requirements; complete assigned tasks on time.

Candidate requirements

• Stockroom, warehouse, retail, or inventory experience is preferred.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, basic numeracy, and ability to follow instructions.
• Comfort with handheld scanners, inventory systems, or digital tools; willingness to learn.
• Reliable, punctual, responsible, collaborative, and clear in communication.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Commitment to stock control, security, and health and safety procedures.
• Shift flexibility, including weekends or public holidays when required.
• Able to stand, walk, and move stock for extended periods and safely lift or carry items when required.
• Luxury or high-value product handling experience is an advantage.
