Direct and assist stewards to make clean-up work more efficient.
Support kitchen, banquet, and buffet operations while maintaining cleaning standards.
Stewarding and food-service support
- Monitor and document suitable water temperatures and cleaning chemical levels.
- Assist with banquet plate-ups and help cooks and kitchen staff with tasks and supplies.
- Transport items and maintain adequate stock for banquet and buffet service.
- Return cleaned items to their designated locations.
- Operate and maintain dishwashers, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
Team and service standards
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Follow safety and security policies, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; and meet quality standards.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, communicate professionally, and build positive working relationships.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- At least two years of related work experience preferred.
- At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
- No license or certification is listed.
Physical demands
- Role requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking; reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; and moving on sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
Schedule and position
- Full-time schedule.
- Non-management position.
