The position supports stewarding, kitchen, and banquet operations.
Stewarding and kitchen duties
- Direct and assist stewards to make cleanup more efficient.
- Monitor and document appropriate water temperature and chemical levels.
- Assist with banquet plate-ups and kitchen tasks; provide cooks with needed items.
- Transport items and maintain adequate stock for banquet and buffet service; return cleaned items to proper locations.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
Team and service duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Follow safety and security procedures, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, communicate professionally, and maintain positive working relationships.
- Protect company assets, maintain confidentiality, and meet quality expectations.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
- At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- The role requires physical activity, including handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds and standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
