Steel Procurement Manager

About This Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement steel procurement strategies aligned with company goals and production demands.
• Manage end-to-end procurement of steel raw materials for production, including structural steel components (angles, beams, sheets, etc.).
• Plan and estimate material quantities for upcoming projects to ensure timely and cost-effective supply.
• Handle international procurement, including sourcing, logistics, and customs coordination.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and global suppliers.
• Lead negotiations, contracts, and long-term agreements to secure competitive pricing and quality.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to ensure continuity.
• Coordinate with internal teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Saudi regulations.
• Manage vendor performance and lead the procurement team effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-8 years of procurement experience, preferably within steel structure, construction, or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of steel materials, fabrication components, industrial equipment, and supply-chain processes.
• Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing.
• Familiarity with Saudi procurement regulations and customs processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong MS Office skills.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor a procurement team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
