Duties
- Own product-level architecture and technical direction for embedded C/C++ software across multiple concurrent projects.
- Lead cross-functional project execution with quality engineering, systems engineering, product management, and external vendors.
- Design, develop, test, and debug embedded Linux software for connected control panels, networking equipment, and video-enabled systems.
- Integrate and validate LTE, Cat-M, 5G, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Z-Wave, Zigbee, Matter, and other embedded connectivity stacks.
- Incorporate on-device sensors and transform sensor data into reliable real-time cloud-integrated product features.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, define team processes, and promote modern practices including AI-assisted tools.
About You
- 8+ years of embedded C/C++ software development on Linux-based platforms.
- Experience with embedded cellular, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and IoT connectivity technologies.
- Proven product-level architecture leadership and multi-project delivery coordination.
- Interest in mentorship and leadership growth.
- Candidates must be permitted to work in Canada.
Work Arrangement
- This is a hybrid position in Ottawa, Ontario.
Compensation
- This is a full-time permanent position.
- Salary starts at $200,000 per annum depending on experience, plus bonus.
