Role overview

An international provider of specialized technology and infrastructure solutions is seeking a Senior Program Manager.

Own end-to-end delivery of large, complex, high-profile programs across North America, from concept through execution and closeout.

Report to senior leadership within the Global PMO and manage a small team of Project Managers.

Direct cross-functional software and delivery teams and support strategic regional expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Direct project lifecycle delivery across major software and technical project portfolios, including mobilization, schedule tracking, and quality delivery.
  • Manage requirements, baselines, and formal change orders to mitigate scope creep and preserve profitability.
  • Build project plans, critical path schedules, and risk management frameworks using Waterfall methods and PMP standards.
  • Lead external customer, vendor, and client-executive relationships; negotiate variations to align with commercial objectives.
  • Lead bids and proposals, including pricing strategies, schedule baselines, and resource allocations.
  • Manage multi-million-dollar budgets, forecast spend, track actuals, and carry out risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Direct, mentor, and inspire project managers and software professionals while ensuring corporate governance compliance.

Qualifications and experience

  • Extensive experience managing large, complex, end-to-end technical projects and portfolios, ideally in software development, SaaS, or complex systems.
  • Proven track record directly managing external clients.
  • Mastery of Waterfall project management frameworks and core PMP principles.
  • A relevant degree paired with PMP certification is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional requirements gathering, baseline management, scope-creep tracking, and commercial change-order skills.
  • Deep understanding of complex goods and services contracts, commercial approval lifecycles, and customer strategic drivers.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, conflict-resolution, analytical, and customer-focused capabilities.
  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally as required and coordinate across international time zones.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary is CAD 140,000 to CAD 160,000, commensurate with experience.
  • The package also includes RRSP matching, a discretionary bonus, paid time off, and benefits.

Additional eligibility information

  • Candidates must be permitted to work in Canada.
