Role overview

Oversee daily technology operations, cloud and on-premises environments, and the cybersecurity program.

Report to the IT Director and lead the IT team, service delivery, and technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT and Service Desk operations to maintain service availability, set goals, and develop staff.
  • Maintain and evolve the corporate cybersecurity program, including frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and Zero-Trust architecture.
  • Oversee hybrid cloud and on-premises environments and ITIL Change Management processes.
  • Guide Enterprise Architecture, SDLC practices, and safe implementation of emerging AI technologies.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of IT leadership experience managing technical staff, Service Desk operations, and cybersecurity programs.
  • Extensive background in Microsoft 365, network architecture, cloud infrastructure, SDLC, and modern IT security standards.
  • Demonstrated experience managing external MSPs and vendor relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with strong stakeholder management.
  • Bilingual English and French proficiency; eligibility for Secret Security Clearance is required.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary is CAD 100,000 to CAD 130,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Government pension program, PTO, and benefits are noted.

Workplace

  • Hybrid role based in downtown Ottawa.
