Position overview

Own dynamometer test operations at AMP-2, including dynamometer testing, efficiency mapping, and performance and durability validation.

Build dyno infrastructure from commissioning through production ramp-up to start of production, with accountability for test integrity, correlation, and productivity.

Testing and measurement

  • Operate dyno stations and maintain station readiness and safety compliance.
  • Own efficiency mapping across torque and speed ranges and execute steady-state and transient performance validation.
  • Maintain torque-transducer standards, correction factors, and correlation; ensure speed and power measurement integrity.
  • Own temperature, current, voltage, and position instrumentation and maintain calibration and traceability.
  • Own DAQ standards, calibration, and sampling strategies to ensure data integrity.
  • Commission and sustain dyno controls, inverter and battery simulators, cooling, oil conditioning, measurement systems, DAQ, safety systems, and facility interfaces.
  • Develop automated test sequences and manage recipes, configurations, and software releases; LabVIEW or equivalent software may be used.
  • Correlate measurement results across cells using reference units and uncertainty analysis.

Maintenance, launch, and change control

  • Support TPM deployment, OEE improvement, MTBF/MTTR reduction, and predictive maintenance; use MES, IIoT, and historian analytics to identify losses.
  • Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, equipment acceptance, Safe Launch, run-at-rate, capacity verification, readiness reviews, audits, and QRQC/RCCA activities.
  • Control production, process, software, and test changes with documented risk assessment, approvals, validation, revision history, and rollback or containment planning.
  • Maintain cell availability, preventive maintenance, instrumentation health, throughput, and safe response to high-voltage, overspeed, thermal, fluid, and rotating-equipment hazards.

Safety, quality, and compliance

  • Apply high-voltage LOTO/HVIL, machine safety, stored-energy isolation, electrical safe-work, and PPE requirements; do not bypass safety devices or product protections.
  • Protect product genealogy, calibrated-tool status, test and measurement integrity, document control, and audit-ready evidence.
  • Comply with applicable AMP-2, SASO, Saudi labor and EHS, IATF 16949, IEC 60204, and functional-safety requirements within assigned scope.

Collaboration and capability building

  • Build Saudi national capability through structured on-the-job training, skills matrices, assessment, certification, cross-training, and documented knowledge transfer.
  • Create technical standards, troubleshooting guides, and training materials; support interviews and university or TVTC engagement when requested.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Automation/Robotics, Manufacturing Engineering, EHS, IT/OT, MES, Supply Chain, Product Engineering, and suppliers.

Skills

  • Dynamometer testing, efficiency mapping, performance validation, and torque, speed, and power measurement expertise.
  • Data analytics, structured problem solving, risk-based decision making, and controlled documentation.
  • Cross-functional communication, supplier coordination, and disciplined ownership in a greenfield launch environment.
  • Coaching, competency assessment, and knowledge transfer in a multicultural English/Arabic workplace.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 to 8 years of dyno test engineering experience in EV or automotive.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is strongly preferred.
  • Greenfield launch experience and ISO 17025 are preferred.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with commissioning, FAT/SAT, launch, production readiness, or high-volume manufacturing ramp is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP/change control, machine and high-voltage safety, and traceability requirements is preferred.
  • A recognized discipline certification, Lean/Six Sigma, greenfield EV or automotive launch, and KSA workforce-development experience are preferred.
  • Ability to support site, shift, weekend, shutdown, or emergency activities when operationally required.

Compensation and benefits

  • Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off, holidays, and sick leave; and a 401(k) plan.
  • Eligible employees may participate in an equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program, subject to applicable plan terms.
