Responsibilities
- Translate product and stakeholder requirements into scalable technical solutions; develop full-stack applications across frontend, backend, and database layers.
- Build Ruby on Rails backend services and modern frontend applications using React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
- Design RESTful APIs and integrations, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Build and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS services, including Lambda, ECS, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and RDS.
- Develop and deploy containerized applications with Docker and Amazon ECS; design event-driven and serverless architectures using Lambda and messaging systems.
- Contribute to system architecture, scalability, performance optimization, security, and engineering best practices.
- Develop services and utilities with Golang and NodeJS where applicable; use AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to improve engineering efficiency and quality.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions; support reliable deployments with CI/CD and cloud infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on Ruby on Rails experience and strong hands-on frontend experience with technologies such as React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and with Docker-based application deployment.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI, and with AI-powered developer tools and agentic coding workflows.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum; strong analytical, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills; able to work independently and mentor junior engineers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred skills
- Good hands-on Golang or NodeJS experience is a plus.
- Strong AWS experience, including Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and RDS, is a plus.
- Kubernetes and infrastructure automation familiarity, or exposure to Elasticsearch, analytics systems, or AI/ML applications, is a plus.
