vConstruct is a construction technology company based in Pune, India, providing services and solutions across VDC, project controls, accounting, data science, analytics, and software development.

The vC Labs team builds construction management solutions using 3D web and mobile development, data science and analytics, and AI/ML.

Role Overview

The Product Owner will own key modules within a B2B SaaS construction technology platform.

The role bridges business stakeholders, field and industry experts, design, and engineering to turn product strategy and customer needs into delivery-ready work.

Backlog and Agile Execution

  • Define, groom, and prioritize product backlogs based on business value, customer feedback, and strategic vision.
  • Write user stories, technical requirements, epic descriptions, and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Make decisions during sprint development to clarify requirements and keep engineering teams moving.

Domain and Customer Focus

  • Build detailed knowledge of construction workflows such as job costing, RFIs, submittals, field reporting, equipment tracking, BIM integration, and compliance.
  • Gather feedback from field operators, project managers, and enterprise buyers to refine features.
  • Engage users through interviews, site visits, and usability testing to validate features.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Product Managers to translate the broader roadmap into execution-ready sprints.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Product Marketing on launches, documentation, and onboarding.
  • Monitor feature adoption, usage metrics, and customer feedback after launch.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Associate Product Manager in a software environment.
  • Proven B2B SaaS experience, including multi-tenant architectures, user permissions, and enterprise workflows.
  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum and experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or Linear.
  • Ability to convert complex field processes into structured requirements and discuss technical trade-offs, APIs, integrations, and architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction Tech, PropTech, real estate technology, or related industrial software experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Sage, QuickBooks, or Primavera P6 is preferred.
  • CSPO or an equivalent product management certification is preferred.
