Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement network and infrastructure systems from the ground up.
- Build and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems and infrastructure.
- Document and advocate software development processes and propose tools, frameworks, and automations.
- Write maintainable code and conduct peer reviews, improving the code review process.
- Optimize client and server systems for performance, maintainability, scalability, and extensibility.
- Mentor engineers and support their technical and career development.
Basic qualifications
- 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 6+ years of programming experience in at least one software programming language.
- 6+ years leading design or architecture of systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
Preferred qualifications
- 6+ years across the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
Compensation
- The listed New York base salary range is $184,900–$250,200 USD annually, with sign-on payments and restricted stock units also included in the compensation package.
- Compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location; benefits are also offered.
