Role Overview

Lead consultative discovery, solution design, and technical qualification for AspenTech industrial software opportunities.

Use technical domain expertise, industry knowledge, and business acumen to position solutions and create measurable customer value.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead technical qualification of solutions against business outcomes and serve as a subject matter expert on operational challenges and industry trends.
  • Learn the AspenTech portfolio and develop industry-specific solutions aligned with measurable business value.
  • Create regional messaging and materials, provide market input to Product Management, and lead campaigns that improve reach, pipeline, and awareness.

Sales and Customer Engagement

  • Partner with Sales Account Managers from discovery and solution design through executive presentations and deal execution.
  • Engage senior customer executives in digitalization discussions and coach sales and consulting colleagues on industry messaging and solution positioning.
  • Represent AspenTech at industry conferences, customer forums, webinars, and trade events across the region.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 14 years of experience in industrial software, services, solution consulting, presales, technical sales, or related customer-facing technical roles.
  • Proficiency in Industrial Data Platforms such as Inmation, Historians such as IP.21, and Advanced Process Control and Real Time Optimization technologies such as DMC3, GDOT, or Aspen Plus, or equivalent technologies.
  • Demonstrated business development success, strong technical-to-business communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, and proficiency in English.
  • Must be authorized to work in India without restriction or sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Exposure to asset-intensive industries including metals, mining, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, power, food and beverage, pulp and paper, or water and wastewater.
  • Breadth across AspenTech solution areas, knowledge of AI and machine learning applications, and digital transformation experience.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain, production planning, or scheduling technologies such as Aspen Plant Scheduler or Aspen Unified Planning.

Travel

  • Regional travel of up to 35% is required.
