Lead delivery of technology projects for market-leading organizations, from initiation through completion.
Support the Professional Services Project Management Office across the Middle East.
The role involves significant interaction with internal stakeholders and clients and focuses on measurable project outcomes.
Project delivery
- Monitor projects strategically and deliver software implementations on budget, on schedule, and with high customer satisfaction.
- Manage project phases from initiation through delivery and closeout.
- Functionally supervise assigned contractors, consultants, and engineers.
- Complete project reporting, administration, and documentation.
- Build client relationships and collaborate with R&D, Support, Product Management, Sales, and other organizations.
- Bring projects back on track through changes, clear leadership, and best practices.
Experience and qualifications
- At least 10 years of project management experience, including at least 3 years leading IT initiatives.
- Process-industry experience is required; oil and gas, petrochemicals, or related industries are preferred examples.
- Experience managing multiple projects across business functions and locations, and international customers mainly in the Middle East.
- Strong analytical, communication, planning, presentation, financial reporting, team-building, and stakeholder-adaptation skills.
- Technical understanding of technology projects and system implementations, with knowledge of scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and procurement.
- Must be able and willing to travel at least 25% of the time, including internationally.
- Recognized project management certification and experience with both waterfall and agile methods are desirable.
