Role Overview

Performance Testing

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain performance test plans and JMeter scripts.
• Conduct load, stress, and endurance testing in cloud and distributed environments.
• Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks, performance degradation, and optimization opportunities.
• Perform root-cause analysis and work with development teams to implement fixes.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Monitor application performance in production and pre-production environments.
• Use Grafana, DataDog, and other APM tools for performance monitoring and data visualization.
• Participate in capacity planning to assess whether systems can handle projected loads.
• Generate reports documenting performance results, findings, and actionable recommendations.

Collaboration and Improvement

• Work with development, operations, QA, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and share findings.
• Maintain documentation for test plans, scripts, results, and recommendations.
• Continuously improve testing processes and automate recurring activities.
• Lead performance QA team members and provide technical guidance when required.

Required Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of experience in performance testing and analysis is required.
• Hands-on JMeter scripting experience using Java, Groovy, or BeanShell is required.
• Experience with web applications, REST APIs, client-side performance testing, component-level testing, and scripting or programming is required.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and presentation skills are required.
• Experience working in an Agile model and leading performance QA teams is required.
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical clients and stakeholders is required.

Technical Skills

• Required tools and technologies include JMeter, Grafana, DataDog, and other APM tools.
• Lighthouse and mPulse are mentioned as preferred examples for client-side performance testing.
• A good understanding of Core Web Vitals is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with performance testing in the retail domain is nice to have.
