Role overview

Delivery responsibilities

• Lead complex design sessions and work with customers and business partners to establish solution requirements.
• Identify potential solution options and assess their technical and business suitability.
• Provide expertise to customers developing digital solutions for identified business needs.
• Support solution delivery by assisting programmers with their tasks.
• Guide unit, system, performance, and user acceptance testing implementation.
• Define software development plans, including scope, scheduling, and implementation, where required.
• Make platform and code quality assurance decisions for application development requests and the team.
• Develop processes and procedures that organise workflow and ensure quality, precision, and timeliness.
• Prepare accurate development task estimates and validate estimates prepared by others.
• Provide technical mentoring, architecture validation, and support for team members.
• Work with HR and recruitment teams on talent acquisition, career planning, retention, screening, onboarding, assignments, and mentoring.

Leadership responsibilities

• Act as a strategic and analytical technology leader with a broad approach to system and application design.
• Manage projects end to end, including vendor evaluation, budgeting, resource allocation, deliverables, and progress communication.
• Make decisions based on metrics and changing needs while seeking opportunities to improve technical performance.
• Plan and present strategic recommendations to C-level audiences and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Research the competitive landscape and contribute to customer direction and strategy through analysis.

Requirements

• A graduate degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• At least 15 years of experience is required.
• Expert knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP public cloud is required.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET, an open-source stack, and a current leading-edge UI and JavaScript framework is required.
• A master's degree or MBA is preferred.
