Job purpose

Key accountabilities

• Lead project budget development and maintenance across labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other costs.
• Monitor expenditure against budgets, analyze variances, and report findings to senior management.
• Update forecasts, assess financial risks, and recommend cost-control measures.
• Manage scope and budget changes, documenting and securing approval and assessing financial impacts.
• Use EVM to assess cost performance and deviations from financial targets.
• Coordinate schedules, milestones, and resource requirements with Planning and Scheduling teams.
• Prepare periodic cost reports, forecasts, and management presentations.
• Meet operational and development targets, use resources efficiently, report progress, and escalate complex issues.
• Support quality processes, written procedures, and automation; comply with policy and HSE controls.

Technical skills

• Strong knowledge of project budgeting, cost control, cost forecasting, cash flow projections, and variance analysis.
• Practical EVM experience, including CPI and project cost performance analysis.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP and advanced Microsoft Excel for cost tracking, analysis, modelling, and reporting.
• Experience with variation management, cost allocation, and WBS.
• Power BI or equivalent dashboarding, CCP or PMP certification, and experience in subcontractor cost management, invoice verification, quantity surveying, or contract administration are advantageous.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, financial risk analysis, cost optimization, and PMO reporting for large construction or real estate projects is advantageous.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant field.
• Work experience is stated as both 6 to 10 years and 10–15 years.
