Hands-on Senior .NET Engineer role designing, building, and delivering scalable enterprise SaaS applications.
Location is listed as Canada, remote; contract duration is 6–12+ months with possible extension.
Responsibilities
- Decompose complex problems, design solutions, and implement core frameworks.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Web API.
- Use DDD and CQRS patterns to build modular, scalable systems.
- Design SQL Server databases, write stored procedures, optimize queries, and tune performance.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable, documented code.
- Own unit, integration, and performance testing in a Shift Left setup without a QA team.
- Work with product managers and other teams to deliver customer-focused features.
- Use AI development tools for code generation, refactoring, documentation, and speed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of enterprise or SaaS software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, and Web API.
- Experience with Angular or another frontend framework.
- Experience with Entity Framework (EF Core or EF6).
- SQL Server skills including queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and enterprise architecture.
- Experience with DDD, CQRS, and clean layering of business logic and data access.
- Familiarity with multithreading, asynchronous programming, and performance tuning.
- Comfort with Git, CI/CD, and Agile.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication; experience across teams or squads.
Required AI tool use
- Active daily use of AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar is required.
