Brookfield Business Partners is the private equity group’s flagship listed vehicle, focused on global business services and industrials.

Role overview

The Senior Analyst owns day-to-day cash and risk management functions for the Treasury group within the Private Equity platform.

The role requires accuracy, self-direction, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and overlapping deliverables.

Financial risk management and operations

  • Lead liquidity forecasting and variance commentary; manage debt facilities, covenants, borrowing-base reporting, drawdowns, amendments, and lender coordination.
  • Oversee portfolio-company interest calculations and billings, custody accounts and transactions, and quarterly treasury reporting and auditor responses.
  • Structure fund flows and coordinate legal documentation, banking requirements, and stakeholders; manage bank and internal relationships and escalations.
  • Maintain treasury policies and controls; oversee ISDA negotiations and support FX and interest-rate risk management, settlements, and maturities.
  • Guide junior analysts, review work, and lead ad hoc analyses and special projects through recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.

Cash and systems

  • Own daily Quantum bank reconciliations, cash-flow matching, exception resolution, and transaction designation; investigate failed transactions and settlement issues.
  • Manage daily FX maturities, wires and transfers, bank-account administration in Quantum, and urgent or high-value cash transactions.
  • Coordinate KYC/AML onboarding for bank and custody accounts and own banking verification call-backs and audit evidence.
  • Drive cash-management and treasury-system automation and improvements, including requirements, user acceptance testing, implementation, and post-launch validation.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of progressive treasury, capital markets, finance, and/or accounting experience.
  • Recognized professional accounting designation; CPA is preferred, and CFA or CTP is an asset.
  • Strong financial systems experience and advanced Excel; Quantum experience is an asset.
  • Experience executing complex fund flows and directly managing banking relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail, judgment, analysis, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and project-management skills.
  • Ability to own work with minimal direction and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary range

  • The stated salary range is CAD 90,000–105,000; no pay cadence is specified.
