Role overview
The Senior Analyst, Finance joins Brookfield Asset Management’s Global Financial Reporting team and reports to the Vice President, Finance.
The role supports consolidation and financial reporting, compliance, investor relations, and special projects.
The position is based at Brookfield Place, 181 Bay Street, in Brookfield’s downtown Toronto head office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and public documents with global business units.
- Help resolve complex accounting issues and coordinate regulatory updates with auditors and operating business groups.
- Assist with financial reporting deliverables for the Board and senior management.
- Support quarterly reviews, the annual audit, and SOX compliance with internal and external audit teams.
- Collaborate with operating business groups and other departments.
- Identify efficiency improvements in processes, tools, and reports.
- Assist with ad hoc analyses, presentations on financial and operating results, and special projects.
Qualifications and requirements
- Two to three years of progressive accounting or auditing experience.
- Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA).
- Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel skills.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills, and willingness to support the team.
- Strong organization and adaptability in a complex, fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Estimated compensation
- Estimated compensation is $95,000–$110,000; the posting does not state a pay cadence.
