We are seeking a skilled Sports Medicine Specialist to join our healthcare team in Saudi Arabia.
This role involves providing expert care in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sports-related injuries to athletes and active individuals.
The ideal candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and promote optimal athletic performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions
- Develop personalized treatment and rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Collaborate with physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care
- Educate patients on injury prevention, recovery protocols, and overall wellness
- Perform non-surgical interventions such as injections when appropriate
- Stay updated with the latest advances in sports medicine, particularly in the context of Saudi Arabia's sporting environment
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records
- Participate in community outreach and sports health promotion activities
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Completion of residency training in Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, or a related field
- Board certification or equivalent credentials in Sports Medicine
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in sports medicine, preferably with experience in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf region
- Strong understanding of regional sports health challenges and cultural considerations
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Valid medical license to practice in Saudi Arabia is preferred or willingness to obtain one
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to local medical regulations
