We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist in Sports Medicine to join our team.
This role involves providing expert medical care focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sports-related injuries.
The Specialist will work closely with athletes, coaches, and a multidisciplinary team to promote optimal health, enhance performance, and facilitate safe return to sport.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of sports injuries
- Design and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physiotherapists, athletic trainers, and nutritionists
- Educate patients on injury prevention techniques and healthy lifestyle choices
- Conduct interventional procedures such as joint injections when required
- Keep up to date on the latest sports medicine research and techniques
- Document patient care accurately and maintain medical records
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote sports health and safety
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of residency training in Sports Medicine or a related specialty
- Board certification in Sports Medicine preferred
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in sports medicine or related field
- Thorough knowledge of sports injury management and rehabilitation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
