Role Purpose
The Presales Engineer supports the sales team across all stages of the sales cycle with technical and commercial expertise.
The role bridges customer requirements and technical solutions for Low Current Systems projects, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
Solution Design & Technical Presales
- Analyze customer requirements, specifications, drawings and tender documents.
- Design integrated Low Current and security solutions.
- Prepare system architecture drawings, network diagrams, and technical submittals.
- Develop compliance statements and technical responses to tenders.
- Conduct site surveys and provide technical recommendations.
Tendering, Estimation & Proposal
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates and pricing worksheets.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain quotations.
- Prepare complete technical and commercial proposals.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders and bids.
- Maintain proposal documentation and revision control.
Customer Engagement & Presentations
- Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions and presentations.
- Conduct product demonstrations and workshops.
- Respond to technical queries raised by customers, consultants and end users.
- Support the sales team during negotiations and bid clarifications.
Project Handover & Business Support
- Participate in project handover meetings.
- Provide technical clarification to project execution teams.
- Assist in value engineering and solution optimization.
- Support business development initiatives and market intelligence activities.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
- PMP certification is an advantage.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in Low Current Systems, ELV Systems.
- Experience in Presales, Design Engineering or Solution Engineering roles.
- Experience in banking, government, healthcare, commercial and critical infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of tendering processes and project lifecycle management.
