Special Projects Manager

Salary starting from £60,000 (depending on experience).

8.65% bonus.

Strong project-management experience delivering enabling works, infrastructure or operational-improvement projects.

Demonstrable experience managing projects from definition through delivery, handover and close-out.

Ability to maintain project programmes, risks, issues, dependencies and clear progress reporting.

Experience coordinating designers, contractors, suppliers and operational stakeholders.

Strong contractor-management capability covering mobilisation, performance, safety and quality.

Commercial awareness with experience controlling scope, budget, change and supplier commitments.

Ability to deliver safely within live operational environments without disrupting business-as-usual activity.

Strong stakeholder-management, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Confident use of Microsoft Office and project-planning and reporting tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all working and management levels.

CITB HS&E Managers and Professionals certificate (MAPS) – must be obtained before the start date.

A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.

Working knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM requirements or major-project governance.

APM, PRINCE2, PMI or another recognised project-management qualification. A working knowledge of: Major infrastructure, construction or nuclear programme environments CDM, contractor management and permit-to-work interfaces NEC contract environments, commercial governance and change control Logistics, warehouse, commissioning and operational-readiness environments

You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history required for vetting process in line with SZC protocols.

You must be able to obtain the SZC pass.
