Role overview

Education and experience

• High school diploma or GED plus four years of relevant culinary, food and beverage, or related experience; alternatively, a relevant two-year degree plus two years of experience.

Kitchen operations and culinary standards

• Manage kitchen shifts, production planning, food preparation, presentation, purchasing, receiving, and storage.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, correct handling and temperatures, legal compliance, and product quality.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and report malfunctions; perform kitchen duties as needed.

Leadership and guest service

• Supervise and coordinate cooks and food-preparation staff; set expectations, maintain productivity, and build team cooperation.
• Coach and develop employees, train them in safety, and participate in performance reviews.
• Maintain guest-service standards, collect feedback, handle complaints, and support satisfaction and retention.

Goals and administration

• Pursue performance, budget, and team goals; plan and prioritize work.
• Use the Labor Management System to schedule for business needs and track employee time and attendance.
• Communicate with colleagues and supervisors, solve problems, and attend relevant meetings.

• Full-time position at the Courtyard by Marriott location on Olaya Street in Riyadh.
