Overview
Inspection Planning: Review purchase orders and engineering specifications to establish inspection levels, generate Project Inspection Plans, and allocate appropriate inspectors.
Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors and buyers to ensure equipment is ready for inspection at the correct stage of manufacturing.
Quality Assurance (QA): Ensure suppliers adhere to ITPs and evaluate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when defects are found.
Documentation & Release: Process Inspection Requests (IRQ), review source inspection reports, and issue Inspection Release Notes (IRN) for shipping.
Stakeholder Reporting: Track inspection metrics, maintain inspection databases, and communicate schedules with project managers.
