Job Description
- To install marble, ceramic, porcelain, granite, and other tile materials accurately and efficiently in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements, ensuring durable and aesthetically pleasing finishes for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Knowledge & Qualification
- Knowledge of marble, ceramic, porcelain, granite, and natural stone installation techniques.
- Understanding of tile layout, alignment, leveling, and finishing methods.
- Knowledge of adhesives, grout, sealants, mortar, and other installation materials.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
- High school education or equivalent is preferred.
- Vocational training or certification in tile or stone installation is an advantage.
Role & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Measure and prepare surfaces for tile and marble installation.
- Cut, shape, and fit marble, ceramic, porcelain, and stone materials using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Install floor, wall, countertop, stair, and decorative tiles according to project requirements.
- Mix and apply adhesives, mortar, grout, and sealants correctly.
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, leveling, and finishing of installed materials.
- Repair or replace damaged tiles or marble as required.
- Clean and polish installed surfaces upon completion of work.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Handle and store materials safely to minimize damage and waste.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to ensure timely completion of work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report defects, material shortages, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
