The Finance department supports and controls business activities and reporting across Product Control, Legal Entity Control, Tax, and Treasury.
The role ensures timely, accurate financial and management accounting for Marex Solutions and contributes to daily P&L and balance-sheet production.
The position contributes to finance transformation and change aligned with the Marex Solutions transformation agenda.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile and control daily P&L, including reporting Greeks and P&L to Front Office and senior management.
- Calculate and verify valuation adjustments with Valuation and Risk.
- Analyse profit before tax, costs, and desk economics; provide monthly analysis to management and desk heads.
- Prepare month-end entity commentary and ensure accounting adjustments and balance-sheet substantiation are completed.
- Resolve portfolio discrepancies, improve processes, and deliver finance transformation initiatives.
- Support trade-flow development from Front Office systems to the General Ledger.
- Follow regulatory, conduct, policy, and risk requirements; report breaches and escalate risk events.
Skills and experience
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Good understanding of structured derivatives; structured equities are preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, analytical and investigation ability, and capacity to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Front Office/Back Office systems; Sophis is preferred.
- Experience in a regulated environment and knowledge of risk and compliance requirements.
- Process optimisation or change experience is preferred, but not essential.
- Python, SQL, or Alteryx experience is preferred, but not essential.
