Solution Architect, D365 Business Central

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead solution envisioning, architecture design, and discovery workshops; design end-to-end Business Central solutions aligned to business requirements.
• Lead finance transformation discussions covering accounting, cash management, budgeting, controls, cost accounting, consolidations, and reporting.
• Advise finance leaders and executives; architect solutions across finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing, service, and projects.
• Design integrations using Business Central, Power Platform, Azure Integration Services, Microsoft Fabric, and third-party solutions.
• Collaborate with delivery teams and support demonstrations, workshops, estimates, architecture reviews, Statements of Work, and proposals.
• Lead solution reviews, governance, testing strategy, deployment planning, and hypercare; mentor consultants and contribute to practice growth.
• Keep current with Business Central, Copilot, AI, Power Platform, and Microsoft Cloud technologies.

Required experience

• At least seven years of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central consulting experience.
• Strong accounting and finance background, including financial operations and reporting.
• Experience leading finance-driven ERP transformations and multiple full-lifecycle Business Central implementations.
• Extensive experience implementing core finance capabilities, including general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, budgeting, reporting, and consolidations.
• Strong understanding of purchasing, sales, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing, projects, and service operations.
• Experience designing Business Central integrations and developing Statements of Work, roadmaps, estimates, and solution designs.
• Strong consulting, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; experience in Agile delivery environments.

Preferred qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• CPA, CMA, CGA, ACCA, CPA-US, or equivalent accounting designation is strongly preferred.
• Business Central certifications, Power BI Financial Reporting, Azure Integration Services, and Power Platform experience are additional assets.
• ERP or finance modernization consulting and multi-company, multi-entity, or multi-currency experience are additional assets.

Compensation

• Salary is CAD 122,360 to CAD 160,598 a year.
