Role summary

Location and arrangement

• The role is based in India and is described as hybrid, with overlap hours for US delivery leadership.

Architecture and cloud responsibilities

• Own solution architecture and define application architecture, service boundaries, API contracts, integration patterns, data flows, and technology components.
• Create architecture diagrams, specifications, and implementation guidance; lead design reviews and ensure enterprise alignment.
• Identify risks, dependencies, architecture gaps, simplification opportunities, and modernization needs.
• Design AWS cloud-native solutions and infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, databases, security, monitoring, and integration.
• Define high availability, scalability, disaster recovery, security, observability, and cost-optimization patterns.
• Guide containerization, infrastructure as code, cloud deployment, AWS account, environment, network, IAM, and deployment strategies.
• Define API and event-driven integrations, data storage, access, caching, synchronization, and database performance patterns.
• Establish engineering standards for architecture, APIs, cloud deployment, observability, and CI/CD; lead architecture and code/design reviews.
• Provide technical direction, escalation support, and resolution of major technical and cross-stream integration issues.
• Guide CI/CD, release, environment, configuration, monitoring, logging, alerting, and production-readiness practices.
• Evaluate AI-assisted and agentic development tools for technical validation, prototyping, and build-readiness assessment.
• Partner with Product, Project Management, Engineering, QA, CloudOps, and Security; mentor engineers and communicate technical concepts.

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant enterprise software engineering, solution architecture, cloud architecture, or technical leadership experience.
• 5+ years in solution architecture, cloud architecture, or senior technical leadership roles.
• Hands-on AWS solution design and deep understanding of AWS compute, networking, storage, databases, IAM, monitoring, security, and integration services.
• Experience designing scalable, highly available, secure, and resilient cloud architectures.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, integration patterns, and database architecture.
• Experience with Python, Java, or .NET application stacks and React or another modern frontend framework.
• Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent infrastructure automation tools.
• Ability to translate business and functional requirements into detailed architecture and guide teams through design reviews.
• Strong troubleshooting across application and cloud/infrastructure layers and experience with distributed, global teams.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent AI-assisted development tools is required.

Preferred qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Associate certification is preferred.
• Kubernetes/EKS, containerized cloud-native architectures, event-driven architectures, Kafka, or serverless AWS Lambda experience is preferred.
• Cloud security, IAM, networking, compliance, observability, and regulated-industry experience are beneficial.
• Experience with technical debt, architecture governance, modernization, offshore-led delivery, or AI/agent-orchestrated development models is beneficial.
