Role scope

Solution advisory and pre-sales

• Discover client business needs, IT environments, pain points, and compliance obligations.
• Translate needs into requirements, solution scope, roadmaps, and business cases; design solutions across cloud, data centre, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and managed services.
• Define solution risks, obtain stakeholder agreement, and preserve design integrity through delivery and operations.
• Qualify opportunities, support lead research and nurturing, and coordinate qualified lead handover to sales.
• Own technical RFP, RFI, and RFQ content, including solution descriptions, benefits, costing inputs, and timelines.
• Lead workshops and technical or executive presentations; advise clients through the sales cycle and help close deals.

Portfolio, partnerships, and team leadership

• Work with portfolio, service design, and strategic alliances teams to develop offerings based on market demand.
• Manage technical relationships with vendors and technology partners.
• Lead, coach, and develop Solution Architects toward sales and revenue targets.
• Contribute to department strategy, goals, and annual budget; track performance, manage daily operations, maintain policies and procedures, and recommend improvements.

Essential qualifications and experience

• Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent; a relevant postgraduate degree such as an MCA is accepted.
• Have 10+ years of technical or solution architecture experience across enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, databases, and middleware.
• Have at least 5 years designing complex distributed environments involving private, public, and hybrid cloud, automation, and cybersecurity.
• Bring proven pre-sales experience at a system integrator, managed services provider, or technology vendor, including discovery, solution design, costed proposals, and RFP responses.
• Have experience leading or mentoring architects or pre-sales engineers and strong techno-commercial judgement.
• Have excellent written and spoken English; currently reside in Qatar and be available immediately or on short notice.

Advantageous experience and credentials

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or equivalent cloud certification is advantageous.
• TOGAF or another enterprise architecture certification is advantageous.
• Security architecture experience, Qatar NIA/NCSA knowledge, Qatar government programme experience, and exposure to AI infrastructure, GPU platforms, or managed AI services are advantageous.
• Arabic language skills are preferred.
