  • Apply core UDS services for ECU-level troubleshooting.
  • Support software and hardware integration, validation, release, launch, and Start of Production.
  • Perform ECU flashing and reprogramming, bootloader interaction, and interrupted-flash recovery.
  • Analyze diagnostic communication and identify causes of manufacturing yield losses.
  • Support manufacturing DTC strategies including test suppression and end-of-line clear-down logic.
  • Create and maintain issue reports, document findings, and track assigned actions.
  • Participate in technical reviews, continuous improvement, and on-call rotation.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of automotive software diagnostics, vehicle-system troubleshooting, and structured root-cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of UDS (ISO 14229) including DTCs, DIDs, Session Control, Security Access, Routine Control, Request Download, and Data Transfer.
  • Knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and exposure to DoIP (ISO 13400).
  • Ability to use CANoe, CANalyzer, Grafana, vehicle telemetry, and diagnostic scripts.
  • Experience with ECU flashing, reprogramming, bootloader diagnostics, and interrupted-flash recovery.
  • Understanding of end-of-line testing, manufacturing diagnostics, production ramp-up, launch, and Start of Production support.
  • Understanding of SDLC, software and hardware integration, release management, vehicle network architecture, and system fault tracing.
  • Clear technical documentation, issue tracking, cross-functional collaboration, and supplier coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with connectivity and infotainment technologies including LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, and InfoT.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Computer and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Practical experience with CAN bus systems, vehicle diagnostics, or related automotive software-support activities.
  • Experience supporting automotive systems; electric-vehicle experience is preferred.
  • Experience applying UDS diagnostic services in ECU manufacturing, end-of-line testing, development, or production environments.
  • Hands-on experience reading and clearing DTCs, querying and interpreting DIDs, and executing Routine Control or related ECU diagnostic services.
  • Working knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, and LIN, with exposure to DoIP environments.
  • Exposure to launch, production ramp-up, or Start of Production support with plant, quality, or automation teams.
  • Experience using CANoe or CANalyzer for diagnostic communication analysis.
  • Experience with ECU flashing, approved flash tools or scripts, bootloaders, and flash recovery.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation approximately one weekend per month.

Compensation & Benefits
