Software Solution Architect (AI & Startup Technology)

About the role

Startup evaluation and due diligence

• Assess startups considered for the program, including products, underlying technology, architecture, engineering approaches, AI capabilities, and technical roadmaps.
• Distinguish concepts, prototypes, MVPs, and production-ready products; assess validation, maturity, scalability, maintainability, reliability, and enterprise readiness.
• Review architecture, infrastructure, APIs, integrations, data architecture, AI/ML components, security, and deployment models.
• Identify technical debt, architectural limitations, dependencies, scalability challenges, and material technology risks.
• Assess roadmap feasibility and communicate clear technical findings and recommendations to program stakeholders.

AI and intelligent systems

• Assess AI-driven products and platforms across AI, Machine Learning, NLP, Generative AI, and modern AI architectures.
• Review LLM, RAG, agent, embedding, vector-search, knowledge-system, API, and data-pipeline architectures where applicable.
• Evaluate AI implementation maturity, model and framework suitability, and scalability against product needs.
• Identify opportunities for AI to provide product or business value and guide integration into scalable software products.

Productization and integrations

• Evaluate the evolution of prototypes and MVPs into scalable commercial software products.
• Assess readiness for enterprise deployment, multi-tenancy, scalability, security, observability, maintainability, availability, and integration.
• Guide architectural improvements and technical foundations for growth and commercialization.
• Learn the client’s platforms, APIs, products, and technology capabilities; identify valuable integration opportunities for startups.
• Design integration architectures and work with client and startup engineering teams on requirements, interfaces, dependencies, and implementation.
• Support integrations from initial concept through implementation and production deployment.

Technical leadership and advisory

• Advise selected startups and provide architectural leadership where senior technical guidance is needed.
• Work with CTOs, technical founders, architects, and engineering teams on complex technology decisions.
• Constructively challenge architectural assumptions and help teams evaluate alternatives.
• Support scalable technical strategies and architecture roadmaps without unnecessarily replacing existing technical leadership.
• Balance engineering quality, scalability, speed, and commercial requirements when recommending architecture.

Required experience

• Significant experience in software engineering, solution, software, product, or enterprise solution architecture.
• Strong hands-on technical foundation and proven experience designing enterprise-grade software products and platforms.
• Strong expertise in AI, Machine Learning, NLP, and modern AI architectures; practical experience integrating AI into production software.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, distributed systems, cloud architecture, data platforms, integration patterns, and modern software engineering.
• Experience taking software products or platforms from concept or MVP through productization and production deployment.
• Experience assessing scalability, availability, security, performance, maintainability, and technical debt.
• Ability to evaluate unfamiliar technology stacks and rapidly understand complex product architecture.
• Experience with customers, founders, executives, product leaders, or other senior stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business and product requirements into scalable technical architectures.
