About the role

The Technology team builds systems and product experiences, from app infrastructure to customer-facing features.

The role seeks a Python Engineer to write high-quality code and build solutions for heavily regulated financial systems.

Engineering projects include products such as chatbots and automated financial-crime quality controls.

What you'll do

  • Build APIs, jobs, and data pipelines designed and scaled to business needs.
  • Write event consumers to build data models for new flows and processes.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Owners, and Operations Managers on product teams to deliver customer value.

What you'll need

  • At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • At least 3 years of engineering experience using Python as the primary language.
  • An academic background in STEM.
  • Fluency in SQL and other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience with API development and integration.
  • Practical understanding of distributed systems.
  • Ability to write concurrent code for I/O-bound and CPU-bound situations.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, TeamCity, monitoring, and alerting.

Nice to have

  • Experience with prototyping and sketching.
  • Multiple side projects or open-source contributions.
  • Exposure to GCP.

Compensation

  • The posting lists gross monthly compensation of PLN 9,500–40,000 for Krakow and Poland.
  • Compensation for other locations will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Final compensation depends on qualifications, skills, and previous experience.
