About the role
- Build and ship end-to-end features using React/TypeScript, Django/Python, and GraphQL, from API design to polished UI.
- Write clean, performant, maintainable code.
- Use AI tools including Cursor, Claude, and n8n in daily development.
- Focus delivery on product and business metrics and user impact.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA to create polished experiences.
- Write unit, integration, and regression tests and participate in code reviews.
- Draft technical specifications, break work into deliverable pieces, and define success metrics.
- Take on larger projects and lead features from idea to launch as you ramp up.
About you
- Graduating or recently graduated with a degree or diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related program.
- Examples of work may include co-op projects, side projects with real users, open-source contributions, or hackathon builds.
- Curious about AI and already using tools such as Cursor or Claude to improve productivity.
- Communicates clearly and collaborates across disciplines.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and taking initiative in a startup.
- Solves problems by investigating root causes and treating technical challenges as opportunities to learn.
Start date
- Flexible start date from May to September 2027, or earlier for recent graduates.
Location and work arrangement
- Remote-first / Ottawa hybrid.
