Join the Tactical, Communications, and Maintenance Applications team in Huntsville, Alabama, developing software-only avionics products.
The team develops avionics solutions for fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, integrating radios and surveillance equipment for military customers.
The role designs and implements Agile software engineering processes and activities.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate software in C++ and Python within Agile.
- Research and collaborate with engineers on military technology planning, design, and development.
- Evaluate early software prototypes with cross-functional research teams.
- Implement requirements and detailed design; develop, integrate, and verify software according to development processes.
- Complete assigned work to program schedules and collaborate with teammates.
Required qualifications
- Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Requires in-depth software architecture, design, and development experience in one or more of C, C++, Java, Ada, or Python.
- Requires Agile experience.
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a U.S. DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
Preferred qualifications
- Collaborative cross-domain development experience, problem-solving, decision-making, adaptability, and the ability to work well with others are preferred.
