Full-time Software Engineer role described as junior to mid-level.
Develops reliable, scalable software applications that support business operations and user experiences.
Works with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other technical professionals.
Development and collaboration
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications; write clean, efficient, maintainable, documented code.
- Build web and mobile applications, backend services, APIs, and other software components.
- Translate business and technical requirements into solutions with cross-functional teams.
- Review code, troubleshoot defects and performance issues, and optimize security, scalability, and reliability.
Lifecycle and systems
- Contribute across planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop integrations with APIs, third-party services, and external systems.
- Maintain unit, integration, and automated tests; collaborate with QA to identify defects.
- Maintain technical documentation and architecture records; participate in Agile planning and reviews.
- Work with databases and support deployments, upgrades, and production maintenance.
- Research technologies and improve workflows, automation, and software architecture.
Core requirements
- Proven experience in software engineering, software development, or a similar technical role.
- Proficiency in at least one language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, C++, or Go.
- Experience with relevant development frameworks, libraries, and tools.
- Understanding of web technologies, APIs, databases, client-server architecture, testing, debugging, and code quality.
- Knowledge of version control, particularly Git, and collaborative development workflows.
Additional qualifications
- NoSQL experience, Agile or Scrum, cloud platforms, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and automated deployment tools are advantageous.
- A related bachelor’s degree is preferred; a project portfolio or open-source contributions are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to manage tasks and deadlines.
