A government educational institute in Al Shahama, Abu Dhabi is seeking a social worker for its student support team.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group support to students facing social, personal, or behavioral challenges.
- Work with parents, teachers, and school management to support student wellbeing and development.
- Identify and support students experiencing social difficulties, bullying, or adjustment challenges.
- Organize student development workshops covering conflict resolution, communication, and personal development.
- Support students with special needs and coordinate interventions and referrals.
- Maintain confidential student records and follow up on individual cases.
Qualifications and requirements
- A social worker license is required.
- A bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- At least three years of relevant experience in a school or educational institution is required.
- A master's degree is advantageous.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Excellent command of Arabic and fluency in English are required.
- Applicants must be able to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
