Join the Managed Security Services Unit as an SOC Analyst-2 focused on security monitoring and incident response.
Identify, investigate, and respond to security threats.
Monitoring and security tools
- Monitor and analyze alerts and logs for suspicious activity; investigate and remediate alerts and incidents.
- Correlate data to identify patterns or anomalies.
- Maintain and configure SIEM, NDR, email security, and EDR systems, and implement new security tools.
Threat intelligence and reporting
- Stay informed about cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities and apply threat intelligence to improve detection and response.
- Maintain incident and remediation records; prepare stakeholder and management reports, including monthly security reports.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with security team members and IT personnel to share information and best practices.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior L1 analysts as needed.
Qualifications
- At least five years in a security analyst role focused on incident response and monitoring.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or a related field.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms and EDR systems; strong incident response, analysis, network protocol, operating system, and security threat knowledge.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Preferred qualifications
- Professional certifications such as SANS are a plus.
- Regional experience and experience working for an MSSP or MSP provider are desirable.
