Role overview
Senior Systems Engineer role requiring 8+ years of experience in Linux and Windows administration, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure.
Supports a 24/7 SOC Fusion Center environment and mission-critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, update, and maintain Linux and Windows systems, software, accounts, permissions, and policies.
- Monitor and optimize performance; manage patches, backups, recovery, security controls, audits, and incident response.
- Configure network interfaces and DNS, DHCP, and VPN services; troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues.
- Administer VMware vSphere, including ESXi and vCenter; manage virtual machines and troubleshoot virtualization issues.
- Deploy and manage Nutanix clusters, virtual machines, networking, health, performance, and capacity.
- Configure Zabbix monitoring targets, triggers, alerts, dashboards, and reports.
- Monitor Veeam backup and replication, storage repositories, alerts, reports, and capacity.
Requirements and qualifications
- 8+ years of Linux and Windows administration, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure management experience.
- RHCE certification is mandatory.
- Required skills include Unix and Windows, VMware, Nutanix, VxRail, Zabbix Monitoring, and Veeam Backup.
- Strong knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree and equivalent work experience are specified; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- DevOps engineering and 24/7 production or mission-critical support experience are desirable.
Work environment
- The role supports a 24/7 SOC Fusion Center environment.
- Travel to client and data center locations is listed as desirable.
