Position overview

Own end-to-end architecture for a large, multi-market digital experience platform built on Sitecore XM Cloud.

Define architecture spanning the public website, multi-country microsites, member/loyalty portal, and mobile content backbone.

Serve as the senior technical authority and first hire in the Sitecore practice.

Architecture and delivery

  • Define rendering-host strategy, content modelling, multi-site and multi-market structure, and environment strategy.
  • Design governed, bidirectional APIs between Sitecore and CRM through the enterprise integration layer; point-to-point integrations are not permitted.
  • Cover inbound lead and behavioural-event capture, case creation, and outbound personalization tokens such as tier, segment, and next-best offer.
  • Architect single sign-on using Azure AD and personalization using customer data platform audience segments.
  • Safeguard targets: page loads under 2 seconds on desktop and 3 seconds on mobile, API p95 under 200 ms, 50,000+ concurrent users, and 1,000+ transactions per second.
  • Own Sitecore CLI and Azure DevOps/Git CI/CD architecture and a governance-aligned branching strategy.
  • Create design documents, sequence diagrams, and integration specifications; lead architecture reviews and design-authority sessions.
  • Collaborate with vendor advisory/assurance services and client IT governance; mentor developers and set coding, security, and documentation standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of Sitecore experience, including 2+ years of production Sitecore XM Cloud or composable/headless Sitecore.
  • Proven enterprise multi-site, multi-language Sitecore architecture experience.
  • Strong integration architecture experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns; MuleSoft is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SSO/identity federation such as Azure AD, OIDC, or SAML.
  • Strong .NET/C# background and understanding of Next.js or React rendering architecture.
  • Experience defining Sitecore CI/CD and DevOps practices, including Sitecore CLI, serialization, and Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication; able to lead client-facing design sessions.
