Site Supervisor

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities for electrical substation projects.
• Coordinate civil, structural, and electrical installation works within substations.
• Supervise installation of transformers, switchgear, control panels, cable trays, cable laying, earthing, and associated equipment as applicable.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, method statements, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project engineers, subcontractors, technicians, and site personnel.
• Track daily progress against schedules and report delays or site issues to project management.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, safety procedures, and applicable permit-to-work systems.
• Coordinate material requirements, deliveries, storage, and availability.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with QA/QC teams to check workmanship.
• Assist with inspections, testing, commissioning, and rectification of site observations where applicable.
• Maintain daily reports, manpower records, progress updates, and site documentation.
• Identify site constraints and technical issues and coordinate their resolution.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical qualification.
• Minimum five years of relevant site supervision experience; substation or power infrastructure experience is preferred.
• Proven experience in substation construction, electrical installation, or associated site execution.
• Familiarity with substation equipment, electrical drawings, cable installation, earthing systems, and site coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of site safety procedures, quality requirements, and inspection processes.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE or GCC substation project experience is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 2,000–6,000 per month.

• Work location is in person.
