Qualifications
- Extensive field leadership experience in mechanical construction.
- Experience leading large field teams and multiple supervisors.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects.
- Trade Certification is preferred.
- Additional construction management education is considered an asset.
- Gold Seal Certification is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical construction systems, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Skilled in construction means and methods, and project execution.
- Proficient in safety, quality management, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and maintaining high standards of field execution.
- Skilled in lean construction principles, pull planning methodologies, constraint management, workflow optimization, and percent plan complete (PPC) performance monitoring.
- Skilled in driving continuous improvement through deficiency reduction, waste elimination, workflow reliability, workforce planning, standardization of best practices, and lessons learned initiatives.
- Effectively engage clients, consultants, contractors, project stakeholders, and field teams.
- Provide coaching, succession planning, and team development while identifying and developing future leaders and supporting workforce planning initiatives.
- Demonstrate effective decision-making, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and issue management skills by addressing risks, implementing corrective actions, and driving project success
- Align office and field teams, lead productive meetings, and ensure timely escalation of significant issues and project risks.
