Role overview
Coordinate and monitor specialist Spa & Wellness installations across luxury hospitality and wellness developments.
Facilities include saunas, steam rooms, hammams, experience showers, salt rooms, and other specialist wellness environments.
Work with site foremen, specialist suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams to deliver installations safely and in line with project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate specialist Spa & Wellness installations and monitor compliance with approved shop drawings, specifications, and installation requirements.
- Coordinate architectural, MEP, and specialist equipment interfaces; check site readiness and prerequisites before work starts.
- Monitor progress, installation sequencing, manpower, material availability, and equipment deliveries.
- Manage RFIs, method statements, installation requirements, and as-built records.
- Coordinate inspections, quality reviews, MIRs, WIRs, and defect rectification.
- Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover for specialist wellness systems and equipment.
Experience and qualifications
- At least 10 years of construction, fit-out, or specialist installation experience, including at least 5 years in Spa & Wellness projects or specialist thermal facility installations.
- Proven installation and coordination experience with saunas, steam rooms, hammams, thermal suites, and specialist wellness equipment.
- Experience coordinating architectural, MEP, and specialist subcontractor works.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Luxury hotel, resort, destination spa, or high-end hospitality development experience is highly preferred.
Knowledge and skills
- Strong understanding of Spa & Wellness installation requirements and thermal facility construction systems.
- Ability to interpret shop drawings, technical specifications, and installation details; experience monitoring site progress, inspections, and construction documentation.
- Familiarity with insulation, waterproofing, specialist finishes, testing, and commissioning.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills; experience with specialist suppliers, manufacturers, and installation teams.
