Role overview

Head of AV and Technology leading audiovisual, multimedia, and interactive technology solutions across museums, exhibitions, and themed entertainment projects.

Reports to the Operations Manager and works with creative directors, architects, exhibition designers, engineers, and project delivery teams.

The AV and Immersive Technology function focuses on technical excellence, innovation, and integration of advanced technologies into visitor experiences.

Role responsibilities

  • Define and lead the division’s AV and immersive technology strategy and serve as senior technical authority for AV and interactive systems.
  • Lead AV and immersive projects from concept through handover.
  • Drive innovation through VR, AR, MR, AI-driven interactives, and spatial audio.
  • Oversee global procurement strategy, supplier relationships, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with creative, design, and engineering teams to deliver integrated visitor experiences.
  • Support business development, client engagements, and technical proposals.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing AV engineering and delivery team.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 20 or more years delivering AV and immersive technology solutions for museums, exhibitions, themed entertainment, and large-scale events.
  • Proven strategic technical leadership on major international projects.
  • Deep expertise in AV system design, projection, lighting, sound, control systems, acoustics, and networking environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in BIM, CAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Dante platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of global AV procurement strategies, supply chains, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Visionary leadership, stakeholder management, and excellent communication skills.
  • AVIXA CTS certification is preferred.
