Location

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Lead shift operations to optimize plant performance.
• Support governance and HR development.
• Oversee training and Emiratization.
• Ensure accurate plant monitoring, start-ups, shutdowns, and reporting.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage incident response, performance monitoring, and procedure updates.
• Contribute to budget planning and contractor performance evaluation.

Key Performance Indicators (Kpis)

• High plant availability and efficiency.
• No reportable safety or environmental breaches.
• ISO and OSHAS certifications.
• Effective team development and training outcomes.
• Smooth plant operations with minimized downtime.

Key Relationships

• Operations Manager, Control Room Team, Maintenance, HR, HSE, External Stakeholders (off-takers, contractors).
• Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong HSE understanding and application.
• Deep technical knowledge of power and water plant operations.
• Leadership and incident management abilities.
• Communication, problem-solving, and procedure development skills.
• Familiarity with commercial and regulatory requirements.

Experience And Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as Shift Charge Engineer or similar role in CCGT/Desalination plant.
• Engineering degree/diploma.
• Management qualification (optional).
• Experience of the application of Plant Safety Rules and undertaken various roles such as DP/Issuer/Safety Controller under the safety rules.
