Purpose of the Job:
The Control Room Operator (CRO) ensures safe and efficient operation of the power and water plant, optimizing plant performance and maintaining all control systems to meet commercial and environmental targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce Health & Safety policies and monitor contractor compliance
- Operate plant equipment and respond to emergencies
- Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance
- Perform calibration and repair of instrumentation and control systems
- Maintain operational efficiency and cleanliness of the facility
Work Environment & Safety
Operates in a high-risk, hazardous environment.
Must use full PPE and comply with safety protocols.
Job is classified as high-risk according to international safety regulations.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s Diploma/degree in one of the following fields:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Or other relevant engineering disciplines
- Should have 3-5 Years / 3 years field or Plant control panel experience in Power Plant Operations.
- Maintenance experience is also considered for the role
Skills
- Proficiency in English, Arabic is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Computer literate with diagnostic tool proficiency
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and emergency response practices
General Expectations
Uphold MIPCO’s values, promote positive communication, ensure safety, and support local workforce development.
Working Hours
The normal working hours is 02 morning & 02 nights shift of 12 Hrs. each and followed by 04 days week offs.
Must be flexible with day or night shift
Ready to be located near site during the shift days.
