Location
Mirfa International Power & Water Company (MIPCO), Mirfa, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Purpose
Operate and control the Desalination (RO) Plant from the Central Control Room to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient potable water production in compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the RO plant via DCS.
- Perform RO rack start-ups, shutdowns, and equipment changeovers.
- Monitor membrane performance (permeate flow, conductivity, salt passage, differential pressure).
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Shift Manager for isolations and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Prepare shift, performance, and incident reports; support root cause analysis.
- Liaise with Water Control Centre (WCC) for water dispatch and demand coordination.
- Support team training and Emiratization initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in water/desalination plant operations.
- Experience in RO systems, CIP, chemical handling, and plant start-up/shutdown activities.
- Fluent in English.
