Shift Engineer role in Heavy Civil Infrastructure, based in Dubai.
Required experience: 10–15 years.
Knowledge area: civil TBM and tunnel construction.
Minimum qualification
- Bachelor of Technology (BTech).
Shift tunnelling operations
- Coordinate and oversee TBM tunnelling activities during the assigned shift for safe, uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor advance rate, thrust, torque, cutterhead performance, face pressure, penetration, and machine alignment.
- Assess ground conditions, settlement data, and geotechnical performance against design parameters.
- Supervise segment erection, ring construction, annular grouting, and associated quality control.
Production coordination and reporting
- Coordinate spoil removal, materials, segment delivery, grout logistics, and backup system operations.
- Track shift targets and address delays, constraints, and performance issues.
- Coordinate with TBM Operations, Engineering, Survey, Geotechnical, QA/QC, Maintenance, and HSE teams.
- Report operational risks, equipment issues, abnormal ground behaviour, and safety concerns.
- Comply with method statements, risk assessments, permits, and project procedures; support troubleshooting.
- Maintain shift records and conduct comprehensive handovers to incoming personnel.
