Shift Engineer role for Heavy Civil Infrastructure (HCI), with construction TBM and civil tunnelling knowledge specified.

Experience and qualification
- Required experience: 10–15 years.
- Minimum qualification: Bachelor of Technology (BTech).
TBM operations and production
- Coordinate and oversee TBM tunnelling activities during the assigned shift for safe, uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor advance rate, thrust, torque, cutterhead performance, face pressure, penetration rate, and machine alignment.
- Track ground conditions, settlement data, and geotechnical performance against design parameters.
- Supervise segment erection, ring construction, annular grouting, and quality control to project specifications.
- Coordinate spoil removal, material supply, segment delivery, grout logistics, and backup system operations.
- Track shift progress against targets and address delays, operational constraints, and performance issues.
Coordination, safety, and records
- Coordinate with TBM Operations, Engineering, Survey, Geotechnical, QA/QC, Maintenance, and HSE teams.
- Identify and report operational risks, equipment issues, abnormal ground behavior, and safety concerns.
- Ensure compliance with method statements, risk assessments, permits, and project procedures.
- Troubleshoot operational issues to reduce downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Maintain accurate shift records and hand over operational status, issues, priorities, and risks to incoming personnel.
