Role Description
This is an on-site contract role for a SharePoint Technical Architect (Bank only), based in Abu Dhabi.
The SharePoint Technical Architect will design, implement, and optimize SharePoint-based solutions specifically for banking clients, ensuring they meet security, compliance, and performance standards.
Responsibilities
include leading solution architecture, configuring and administering SharePoint environments, and integrating SharePoint with core banking and related systems.
The role involves creating technical designs, workflows, and customizations using tools such as SharePoint Designer and InfoPath, as well as overseeing migrations, upgrades, and platform enhancements.
The architect will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to gather requirements, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide technical guidance and best practices across the SharePoint ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in SharePoint and SharePoint Administration, including configuration, security, performance tuning, and maintenance of enterprise SharePoint environments.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint Designer and InfoPath for building workflows, forms, and custom business solutions.
- Proven background in Solution Architecture, with the ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performing SharePoint solutions for banking or financial institutions.
- Experience integrating SharePoint with banking systems, line-of-business applications, and Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server, Power Platform, and Active Directory.
- Solid understanding of information security, access control, governance, and compliance requirements in regulated industries, particularly banking.
- Ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions, produce architecture and design documentation, and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified, SharePoint-related certifications) are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively on-site within cross-functional and client-facing teams.
